Job Title: Tech Pack Designer (Apparel Technical Design)

Job Description:

We are seeking a Tech Pack Designer to support apparel product development through technical pack creation, specification management, fit documentation, and production-ready technical execution.

This role is responsible for translating product concepts into accurate technical documentation that manufacturers can reliably execute. The ideal candidate should already understand apparel construction, garment specifications, fit standards, and production workflows, and be comfortable coordinating directly with overseas manufacturers to support product development and revisions.

This is not a fashion concept design role. The focus is technical execution, production accuracy, and maintaining organized product development documentation across the product lifecycle.

The ideal hire should be highly detail-oriented, operationally organized, and experienced building production-ready tech packs for apparel or consumer product brands.

Key Responsibilities:

Technical Pack Creation & Product Specifications

• Create detailed tech packs and specification sheets for apparel products
• Maintain accurate garment measurements, grading, construction details, and bill of materials
• Build production-ready documentation for manufacturers and production partners
• Update product specifications, revisions, and technical changes throughout development cycles

Fit & Construction Documentation

• Maintain fit comments, measurement standards, and garment construction documentation
• Review fit revisions and support technical adjustments during product development
• Ensure consistency and accuracy across sizing, fit, and garment specifications
• Support fit-related communication between product development and manufacturing teams

Manufacturer Coordination & Technical Communication

• Coordinate directly with overseas manufacturers regarding technical specifications and revisions
• Clarify construction details, garment measurements, and production requirements
• Support troubleshooting of technical production issues and specification discrepancies
• Maintain organized communication and revision tracking throughout development

Product Development Support

• Maintain organized product development documentation and technical records
• Support development timelines and product revision workflows
• Coordinate updates across product development stakeholders
• Ensure technical documentation remains production-ready and up to date

Qualifications:

Required

• 3+ years of technical design or tech pack creation experience in apparel or consumer products
• Strong experience creating production-ready tech packs and specification sheets
• Strong understanding of apparel construction, garment measurements, grading, and fit standards
• Experience maintaining fit documentation and technical revision workflows
• Apparel production experience with understanding of manufacturing workflows
• Experience communicating directly with overseas manufacturers or production partners
• Experience managing product specifications, revisions, and development documentation
• Experience supporting product launches or seasonal apparel collections
• Strong attention to detail and documentation discipline
• Strong organizational and technical communication skills
• Proficiency with technical design tools such as Adobe Illustrator or similar tools

Preferred

• Experience working with founder-led or fast-growing consumer brands
• Experience supporting high-SKU apparel catalogs
• Familiarity with PLM systems or apparel development software
